Focus On the Feeling

First Thoughts 2/1/2022

Sometimes we have to start off with a very general idea of what we really want.  Often times we hear that we should be super specific about what we desire.  However, depending how big the thing is that we may be asking for, a part of us may not be fully ready to accept or receive it.  So, instead of creating a sense of resistance around us that could prevent the desires of our hearts from fully manifesting into reality; it may be better to just ask for something general.

You know how it feels when you see something you really want?  The feeling may be excitement, elation, comfort or something blissful.  The feeling is what we can immediately connect with.  Even if we cannot fully connect with the idea of having the thing that we desire.

So wouldn’t it be easier (simpler) to tap into the feeling that having the thing could create?  For instance, I dream of owning a home in Long Beach, CA.  I know that it will happen.  I’m just not sure exactly how; all the details are not worked out just yet.

I still KNOW its going to happen because recently, I shifted my focus from scrolling through listings on RedFin and getting discouraged when I see the seven-figure prices.  That was getting me nowhere; well nowhere good at least . When I was centering my attention on the price of a home in Long Beach, all that happened was a flood of thoughts of doubt, scarcity and limitation.

How is that going to help me get a house? It’s not.

Instead, now I just scroll through and imagine myself living in the house, inviting friends over for brunch and swimming in my pool. Now, when I center my attention on owning a house in Long Beach, I only feel feelings of elation; not stress, worry or doubt.  I allow myself to sit in that vibration of good feelings, hopeful thoughts and sensations of comfort.  That feels much better than the stress of trying to figure out every single detail about how I will get a house.

This may sound a little woo-woo for some of you; and that’s okay. What I know for sure is if we keep doing the same thing, we will end up with the same outcome.  So why not allow yourself to consider a different perspective?

Instead of staying rooted in this reality that says, “That manifesting, visualizing stuff is bogus!” - maybe introduce the idea that this shit actually works and try it out on something simple and small.  Then work your way up to the bigger and more complex thing.

The truth is, it doesn’t really matter what you want to invite into your life experience.  Its all about the feeling you want to tap into.  If you focus on the feeling and less on the THING, then you’ll begin to notice the ease sensation that begins to develop around you.

Just try it and let me know how it works out.
